CPUC Water Rate Increase

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) allows small water systems under its jurisdiction to file for a rate increase based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) calculated inflation rate for the previous year. Each year the CPUC issues a letter stating the allowed rate increase. The increase for 2023 based on the 2022 CPI is 6.5% effective May 1 2023. The letter can be reviewed here 2022 CPUC letter.
